Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, engineering runs deep in my family's veins. With both grandfathers specializing in engineering - one in electrical and the other in aerospace - and my father and brother following suit as plastics and electrical engineers respectively, innovation and problem-solving have been ingrained in me since childhood. This upbringing fostered a penchant for tinkering, leading to projects where I crafted and customized tools, art pieces, and personalized gifts.

Outside of engineering, I find joy in various hobbies and activities. Woodworking, gardening, sketching, volleyball, and scuba diving are among my passions. As a NAUI certified open water diver, I've explored the depths in Hawaii, California, Mexico, and the occasionally murky waters of the Puget Sound. For over two years I worked in the floral industry, drawn by the opportunity for creativity. This path granted me the freedom to craft unique arrangements, further nurturing my artistic side.

I had a summer internship working at Fluke Corporation. I was tasked with 2 projects during which I worked with ID teams, engineers, UX, and marketing groups. This allowed me to gain a better understanding of how cross-functional teams collaborate to design and manufacture a product. The effort culminated in the creation of multiple full scale appearance models which were presented in a company wide meeting.

Currently I am employed as a Professor’s Assistant in the Industrial Design program. I have been working on repairing and maintaining shop equipment and assisting students in their design projects. I collaborate with my professors often, scheduling ID events and advising on projects for the sophomore and junior classes.

The intersection of art and engineering has always fascinated me, particularly in the discipline of Industrial Design. I thrive on the fulfillment of crafting solutions that enhance people's lives. Innovation fuels my passion, and I'm continually captivated by the process of taking an idea from concept to reality. There's a profound satisfaction in producing something both elegant and functional. My aspiration is to fully embody this creative essence.
